Our trip to Colorado
First, the pilot let each kid sit in the cockpit:
When we got to the YMCA camp at Estes park, we took lots of hikes. On this one,
we put our hands in the water to see how cold it was:
We couldn't believe how incredible the view was. Check out the background on this hike:
The second day, although the temperature was in the 80's, we drove near the top of a mountain and saw the temp
drop drastically. Here, we got out to play in the deep snow:
Once there, we had the opportunity to climb another hundred or so feet to the very top. Only Jacob (age 6) and I wanted to do it,
so we did:
We went fishing and Jacob and Zachary each caught a fish. Jacob couldn't wait to eat it:
While eating lunch in our cabin, several elk decided to come into the front of the cabin to eat, too:
