September 3, Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market, Gaoqiao Drinks and Food Town, Gaoqiao Cultural and Sports Supplies City and Gaoqiao Clothing Textiles City opened.
1997年
December 10, Gaoqiao Grand Market was officially recognized as a national wholesale market by the Ministry of Internal Trade, and became one of the top eight comprehensive markets in China.
1998年
Gaoqiao Agricultural and Sideline Products Town and Gaoqiao Tea and Tea Service Town opened, and the 59th National Sugar and Liquor Trade Fair was held in October, with a turnover of RMB 30billion, the highest ever.
2004年
Gaoqiao Grand Market won the title of "Demonstration Organization of Honest Enterprises in China" and developed into the largest national comprehensive wholesale market in Central South China and ranked fifth in China.

Gaoqiao Hotel Supplies Town and Gaoqiao Medicine Circulation Park opened.
2009年

Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market was designated by the government as a non-relocation market, and started the upgrading and transformation in an all-round way taking the 5th generation market as the construction standard. In October, Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market was awarded the title of "China Excellent Demonstration Market", becoming the only market in central China that won the national title.
